Tasting Notes: The Sarotto family have been growing grapes in the region since the 16th century, and is one of the best producers in Gavi under the watchful eye of Roberto Sarotto, and his wife Aurora. Bric Sassi is the name of the Sarotto vineyard, located in the frazione Zerbetta near the town of Gavi, where the combination of Miocene marne/tufo soils and 50-year old Cortese vines produce a crisp, focused and mineral-driven wine.
Forward, Citrus and white peach nose with and exotic fruit seam. Plenty of ripeness, verging tropical fruit with pineapple, guava and finely balanced with a mineral backbone that offers a linear structure. Grown up Gavi.
Food Pairing: A great pairing for seafood pasta, grilled fish with a lemon sauce, Goat`s cheese or light chicken dishes.
