Tasting Notes: Great value Merlot from Mouton Rothschild which they have been making since 1995, sourced from the Languedoc then matured in their Saint-Laurent-Medoc winery. Rounded, full and soft, with rich plum and purple fruit flavours, and a lovely lick of vanilla. A deep ruby red. The nose reveals red fruit aromas, subtly mingled with notes of violet, spice and pepper. The attack is supple and round, with an attractive intensity of flavour supported by silky tannins, leading into a dense and succulent mid-palate and a long, highly elegant finish.

Food Pairing: Idea with grilled pork chops, or a rich beef stew.
